Build saved, rule-based audiences from contact fields and activity history.
A segment is a saved audience of contacts defined by rules, for example everyone in a city who opened an email in the last 30 days. Oris Work keeps the member list up to date for you and remembers when each person entered. Segments are what Growth Journeys listen to: a journey can start when someone enters, or leaves, a segment.
Anyone with Growth read access can see the list of segments and their counts. Creating, editing, deleting, previewing and recomputing segments needs the manage permission, which by default only admins have. Opening a segment to see the named members needs read access to Growth people. Find it under Marketing, Growth Segments.
Fields cover the contact (first and last name, email, phone, job title, city, currency, active) and its company (name, entity type, industry, group, employees, city, state, country). Operators depend on the field: text fields support 'is', 'is not', 'contains', 'is any of', 'is none of', 'is empty' and 'is not empty'; number fields add comparisons such as greater than. For 'is any of' type values separated by commas. Events include page views, form submits, email delivered, opened, clicked, bounced and unsubscribed, WhatsApp inbound and outbound, meetings booked, held and missed, referrals, sign-ups and paid orders.
