Paying your invoices online

View an invoice and pay it securely from your portal or from a payment link.

Two ways to pay

  • From your portal: open Invoices in the side menu.
  • From a payment link your firm sent by email or WhatsApp. You do not need to sign in for this.

Pay from the portal

  • Open Invoices. The list shows each invoice's number, issue and due dates, total, balance and status.
  • Click 'View' to see the invoice as a PDF.
  • Click 'Pay now' (on the list, or inside the invoice view).
  • You are taken to a secure payment page to finish paying. Follow the steps shown there.
  • When you come back to the portal the invoice updates to show the payment. It can take a few seconds.

Pay from a payment link

  • Open the link. You see your firm's name, the invoice number, who it is billed to, the dates, the total, anything already paid, and the 'Amount due'.
  • Click 'Pay Now'. You are redirected to the secure payment page.
  • When the payment goes through you see 'Payment received' and a receipt follows by email. You can close the window.

What you might see instead

  • 'Paid': the invoice is settled and there is nothing more to do.
  • 'Payment cancelled': nothing was charged. Open the link again to retry.
  • 'This invoice is not currently payable online': contact your firm to pay another way.
  • 'This payment link isn't available' or 'not available': the link is old or no longer valid. Ask your firm for a new one.
  • No 'Pay now' button on an invoice: drafts, cancelled invoices, paid invoices and invoices with nothing left to pay cannot be paid online.

Saved payment methods

Open Payment methods to see any cards your firm has on file. The default card is charged automatically for recurring invoices your firm has set up to auto-bill. You can click 'Make default' or 'Remove'. You cannot add a new card yourself here; cards are saved by your firm, so ask them if you want one added. If you accept a proposal that includes a deposit, the portal tells you before you sign that the deposit will be charged to your saved payment method.

Need a statement

Open Statement in the side menu to see invoices, payments and credit notes over a date range. Choose dates and click 'Apply'.

If a payment looks wrong

If money left your account but the invoice still shows unpaid, wait a few minutes and refresh. If it is still unpaid, contact your firm with the invoice number and your payment reference. Never share card details or OTPs with anyone in a message.
